Following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irene, and right before the next storm, a neighbor left an enormous wooden sculpture outside in the trash, a bird about 4' x 4', with outstretched wings and an aura of mystery. “Tales from the Trash” chronicles our attempt to figure out who made it and where it traveled from, and our unsuccessful attempts not to name it.

Since The City Cud™ published the “novelatita,” we found out who left it outside and why, and our wooden bird friend has gone on to other adventures.
