Alison Loeb is a songwriter, performer, craftsperson, and doodler who lives with her family in northern Manhattan. She’s a veteran of the BMI Lehman Engel songwriting workshop, an alumna of Raw Impressions Musical Theatre, and was an O’Neill Cabaret Fellow. A winner of the Jonathan Larson Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre, she’s also received grants from The Puffin Foundation, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (The Fund for Creative Communities, Manhattan Community Arts Fund), Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), and the Neighborhood Fund. She is a member of ASCAP. Most recently, she and actor Sam Guncler began animating her songs and short stories. The video shorts—featuring the talents of other singers, musicians and engineers in NY and PA—have won awards at film festivals across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
